As If Theatre Company will hold auditions for its second 2019 production, KIMBERLY AKIMBO, August 4th-6th, 2019.

Auditions are August 4th & 5th from 7-9 pm and will be held at Northlake Lutheran Church located at 6620 NE 185th St, Kenmore.
Callbacks will be August 6th from 7-9 pm.
Rehearsals will be in held in Kenmore starting August 25th,  Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday, 7-10 pm.
Performances are Thursdays – Sunday October 4th-20th, 2019 at 7:30 pm, Sundays at 5:00 pm, at the Kenmore Community Club located at 7304 NE 175th St, Kenmore, WA 98028.

Kimberly Akimbo, by David Lindsay-Abaire, will be directed by AITC Artistic Director, Cindy Giese French. This funny and heartwarming play is about a teenager with a rare condition that causes her body to age faster than it should. When she and her family flee Secaucus under dubious circumstances, Kimberly is forced to reevaluate her life while contending with a hypochondriac mother, a rarely-sober father, a scheming aunt, her own mortality and, most frighteningly, the possibility of her first love.

Auditioning for all characters:

KIMBERLY – 16 year old girl, played by female/ female identifying age 60s or 70s.
BUDDY – Kimberly’s dad, 30s to 40s
PATTIE – Buddy’s very pregnant wife – 30s to 40s
JEFF – awkward, unpopular 16 year old boy – looking for actor 18+ who can play younger
DEBRA – Pattie’s ex-con sister – 30s

Actors should present 2 ONE-MINUTE contrasting monologues.

STIPEND: $300
