As If Theatre is thrilled to announce that we have been granted full fiscal sponsorship through Arts of Kenmore for the 2019/2020 season!

Previously, Arts of Kenmore had been focusing on visual arts in the local Kenmore community, along with producing an annual Kenmore Art Show at Bastyr University. But when As If Theatre started, Arts of Kenmore made the specific choice to broaden the scope of their sponsorships to include all arts, including theatre. We couldn’t be more proud to be the first theatre to receive their full fiscal sponsorship.

What does that mean for us?  It lets us focus on the art of theatre, while they manage our operational needs. We can continue to build the theatre company that we want to be, growing in terms of quality, creativity and content. Our main mission at As If Theatre Company is to provide high-quality theatre while also having a ton of fun, and this sponsorship from Arts of Kenmore lets us do just that, without the burden of the financial challenges that many new theatres face. It also makes us eligible to apply for larger scale grants through places like 4Culture and other great organizations.

In addition, through Arts of Kenmore’s sponsorship, any donations made to As If are now tax deductible, and if your employer has a matching program, every dollar you donate to us will be doubled.

Our first annual festival of short plays, The Kenmore Quickies, will be opening July 26th and run through July 28th. All short plays will be based on the Kenmore Mural Project. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased via Brown Paper Tickets by clicking HERE

Come and see what we’re doing and help continue to support arts in Kenmore!
